“Stop Asking the Internet What to Charge”

“How much should I charge for chips?”

“What should I price my drinks at?”

Y’all gotta stop asking the internet this.

Because now you got 20 different people telling you 20 different prices… and not ONE of them knows your situation.

They don’t know:

- What you pay for your products

- What your location looks like

- Who your customers are

- What people around you are charging

But you’re about to base your business off their opinion?

That’s backwards.

And let’s add another layer people love to ignore…

Your city and state matter.

Prices in California? Way different from somewhere like Florida or Georgia. Cost of living alone will shift what people are willing to pay.

Then on top of that…

What if you’re paying a commission?

Now your margins just changed again.

So how is somebody in a completely different state, with no commission, no clue of your price points, supposed to tell YOU what to charge?

They can’t.

I have locations where I charge different prices for the exact same item.

Same chips.

Same drink.

Different price.

Why?

Because every location is different.

What works at a warehouse might not work at a hotel.

What works at a barbershop might not work at a gym.

Stop copying prices.

Start paying attention.

Look at:

- Gas stations nearby

- Stores in the area

- Other vending machines

That’s your real competition.

Then test your prices.

Raise it → see what happens

Lower it → see what happens

Your machine will tell you the truth way faster than a comment section ever will.

And for the people stuck trying to find the “perfect price” before they even start…

It doesn’t exist.

You figure it out as you go.

Stop asking:

“How much should I charge?”

Start asking:

“What makes sense for THIS location… and does it make ME money?”

That’s the difference between guessing…

and actually running a business.
